Position: Housing Mentor for Youth at The Link
Empower youth transitioning to independent living as a Housing Mentor at The Link. Provide essential support and foster cultural connections while helping youth develop life skills for housing stability.

This role focuses on guiding youth aged 18-21 as they navigate independent living. As a Housing Mentor, you will utilize a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to support their unique needs. Key responsibilities involve building trust, guiding life skills, and advocating for housing rights, ensuring that youth engage with their culture and community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build trusting relationships with youth

• Provide hands-on life skills training

• Assist in finding and maintaining housing

• Advocate during tenancy disputes

• Connect youth to community resources

Requirements:

• Education in relevant fields or equivalent experience

• Understanding of Indigenous cultural practices

• Experience with youth facing housing instability

• Strong crisis management skills

• Valid driver’s license and background checks
