Position: Supportive Housing Mentor Role at The Link
Join The Link as a Housing Mentor, guiding young adults to successful independent living. Engage deeply with each individual, focusing on personal strengths and cultural identity development.

In this impactful position, you’ll mentor youth aged 18-21, promoting self-sufficiency and housing stability.

Your role will include strengthening life skills while addressing barriers related to colonization and trauma. Building authentic relationships and fostering community connections will be paramount in this transformative journey for each participant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop trusting, authentic relationships with youth

• Teach budgeting, meal prep, and household management

• Assist with housing searches and applications

• Advocate for youth in tenancy issues

• Collaborate with community agencies for support

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Understanding of cultural safety and harm reduction

• Experience with youth in crisis situations

• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills

• Reliable vehicle and current driver’s abstract
