Outreach Support Worker at Main Street Project

Contribute to community health as a Van Outreach Support Worker with Main Street Project in Winnipeg. Provide essential services to those experiencing homelessness and ensure safety in extreme weather.

In this full-time, permanent position, you will be a vital part of MSP's outreach team, providing transport and resources to individuals  will help assess immediate needs, provide basic first aid, and advocate for clients to access services.

Your role respects harm reduction principles, encouraging self-reliance and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet community members’ immediate needs in food and shelter

• Drive MSP's outreach vans safely throughout Winnipeg

• Respond to emergencies and document critical incidents

• Conduct wellness checks for individuals in encampments

• Maintain accurate electronic and physical client records

Requirements:

• Education in human services or related field

• Experience in outreach is an asset

• Knowledge of substance use and mental health issues

• Valid Class 5 driver's license

• CPR and First Aid certifications
