Engage with urban Indigenous youth as a Youth Care Support Worker. Offer mentorship, support, and advocacy while ensuring a safe environment for all participants.
This role is crucial to fostering independent living skills among youth. Candidates with a background in Child and Youth Care and experience in Indigenous communities will thrive. You will provide supervision, complete necessary documentation, and build trusting relationships to improve wellness and coping skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise youth to maintain a safe environment
• Mentor and develop independent living skills
• Provide resource information and advocacy support
• Ensure a clean and healthy living space
• Document logbook entries, incident reports, and referrals
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care preferred
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Current criminal record and child abuse registry check
Support urban Indigenous youth and promote empowerment through your dedicated care and mentorship.
