Van Outreach Support Worker

As a Van Outreach Support Worker, you will provide critical services to vulnerable community members year-round.

Your role will encompass engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting with immediate needs, and advocating for access to vital services. Key responsibilities span from ensuring client safety to operating the outreach vans effectively and providing emergency response when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet community members' immediate needs with supplies

• Operate MSP's outreach vans for transport

• Respond to emergencies and monitor client safety

• Visit encampments to identify individuals needing support

• Maintain accurate and confidential records

Requirements:

• Experience in human services or outreach preferred

• Knowledge of harm reduction and housing-first principles

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications

• Understanding of culturally diverse populations
