This full-time position offers a 12-month term focusing on coaching youth through the Mazoun independent living program. Collaborate with agency staff including Metis Spirit Workers to ensure that cultural support services meet community needs. You’ll play a vital role in developing impactful programs that support youth in leading healthy and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain mentoring and coaching programs
• Supervise Metis Spirit Workers and agency personnel
• Facilitate culturally relevant supportive group sessions
• Provide access to community resources and opportunities
• Write program proposals and manage reporting duties
Requirements:
• BSW with 5 years child welfare experience
• Or relevant post-secondary degree with 7 years experience
• 3+ years working with youth in a cultural context
• Knowledge of indigenous practices and community resources
• Valid Manitoba driver’s license and personal vehicle required
