Casual Community Resource Worker

Become a Community Resource Worker with New Directions in Winnipeg, MB. This casual role focuses on supporting individuals with disabilities through community engagement and skill development.

In this position, you'll work outside the home under the Adult Home Share program. You will support individuals with Autism, anxiety, and OCD, helping them achieve goals and explore vocational opportunities. Your active participation in recreational activities, including swimming, is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in community settings daily

• Assist with basic living skills effectively

• Promote educational and vocational opportunities

• Engage in recreational activities such as swimming

• Communicate effectively with Case Managers and Supervisors

Requirements:

• 2 years experience with disabilities, especially Autism

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle access

• Calm and patient demeanor in stressful situations

• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed

• Creative problem-solving and communication skills
