Community Safety Team Member

Position: Downtown Community Safety Team Member
Join the Downtown Community Safety Partnership (DCSP) as a CAN Team Member in Winnipeg. Provide crucial support to vulnerable individuals ensuring their health and safety in the downtown area while working a weekend schedule.

This integral position focuses on proactive engagement and communication with community members. The CAN Team Member will respond to calls for assistance, navigate resources, and monitor public area cameras for wellness concerns. Building relationships with DCSP partners and community agencies is essential to effectively provide referrals and support services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer calls and direct individuals to appropriate resources

• Support vulnerable individuals requiring emergency assistance

• Monitor and respond to community concern emails

• Build relationships with DCSP partners and stakeholders

• Document calls and compile data using CAD system

Requirements:

• Experience in call center and community service

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

• Weekend availability for scheduled shifts

• Must pass a Criminal Record Check
