The Link is hiring a Housing Mentor to support youth in mastering independent living skills. This role involves building relationships and helping participants navigate their housing journey.

As a Housing Mentor for youth aged 18-21, you'll provide practical assistance while recognizing the importance of cultural identity. Your expertise will help create a supportive environment that addresses the challenges of housing instability and promotes life skills for sustainability. Collaboration with various partners will amplify the effectiveness of your mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate trusting relationships based on respect

• Facilitate independent living skill development

• Support youth through the housing application process

• Mediate conflicts and support tenancy rights

• Maintain accurate records of interactions and support

Requirements:

• Education in Child & Youth Care or related field

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and challenges faced by youth

• Experience supporting youth in crisis

• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Availability for evening and weekend shifts
