This term role requires working Friday and Saturday overnights from 11 PM to 7 AM assisting youth in various challenges. You will facilitate skills mentorship and systems navigation, emphasizing educational and vocational readiness. This position involves creating a safe environment through trauma-informed practices while promoting self-sufficiency and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach life skills like budgeting and cooking
• Coach youth in accessing community resources
• Facilitate educational and vocational activities
• Accompany youth to appointments and activities
• Implement crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years’ experience with at-risk youth
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of ASD and FASD
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
