Position: Home Visitor for Family Support
Location: Steinbach

Enhance parent-child relationships as a Home Visitor focusing on family support. This role promotes healthy childhood development in a community-centered environment.

We are seeking a dedicated Home Visitor to work with families using a strength-based approach. Your core responsibilities will include enhancing parenting skills, promoting safety, and fostering family connections to community resources. Collaboration with Public Health teams and utilizing evidence-informed curricula will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote positive parent-child relationships through active engagement

• Support families in achieving their developmental goals

• Report to the regional Public Health/Community Team manager

• Implement evidence-informed activities for family connection

• Maintain regular communication through effective home visiting practices

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience with families and young children (ages 0-5)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Certification related to community support is an asset

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and insured vehicle
