Direct Service Worker

Elevate community support with Michif Child & Family Services as a Direct Service Worker in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role involves offering in-home assistance and essential support for Metis and Inuit families.

MCFS is looking to fill three casual Direct Service Worker positions. You will implement goal-oriented interventions, provide transportation for family visits, and manage daily household duties. A strong understanding of Metis culture is essential, as well as the ability to document and communicate effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop goal-oriented interventions for children and families

• Provide essential cooking and household support

• Administer medications as directed and follow routines

• Document incidents, menu plans, and daily logs

• Support transportation and supervision during family visits

Requirements:

• Current CPR and First Aid certification required

• Valid Manitoba Class 5F driver's license needed

• Understanding of Metis culture and communities

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information securely
