Youth Addictions Stabilization Worker

As a YDSW, you will assist with the Youth Addictions Stabilization Unit, supporting youth and families through crises involving alcohol and drug use. You will implement therapeutic strategies, collaborate on treatment plans, and ensure the emotional and physical safety of the youth. Your responsibilities include accurate reporting, behavior management, and facilitating access to community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate admission and discharge processes for youth
• Collaborate on assessment and treatment planning
• Implement behavior management and crisis intervention
• Prepare detailed reports on youth care
• Engage in continuous professional development
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child & Youth Care or relevant degree
• Five years of experience in addiction support
• Knowledge of harm reduction strategies
• First Aid/CPR certification required
• NVCI and ASIST training is beneficial
