Position: Support Worker for Outreach Program
Join Main Street Project as a Support Worker in their critical Van Outreach Program in Winnipeg. Engage with unhoused community members, supporting their immediate needs and connecting them to vital resources.

As a Support Worker, you will play an essential role in delivering services to individuals at risk of homelessness. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will directly support clients through transportation and crisis intervention. Your commitment to harm reduction principles will empower those you serve while ensuring their dignity and respect are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide essential supplies and support to community members

• Drive and operate the outreach vehicles responsibly

• Address emergency situations and assess client needs

• Conduct wellness checks and follow-up with encampments

• Collect and submit necessary agency statistics

Requirements:

• Relevant education and experience in human services

• Familiarity with addiction and mental health issues

• Ability to work well with diverse populations

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

• Satisfactory background checks required
