Join the Family Wellness Mentor team to enhance First Nation parent support within the Manitoba Child and Family Services system. This full-time permanent role is vital for assisting family reunifications and wellness initiatives.
Working under the supervision of the Director of Children and Families, you will engage First Nation families in developing pathways to reunification. Your responsibilities will include setting achievable goals, offering resource access, and maintaining communication with clients through wellness checks. Employ culturally appropriate strategies to assist families effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and assign client files during case conferences
• Guide parents through creating stability and support systems
• Maintain up-to-date records and case notes
• Work with a range of agencies to meet client needs
• Implement and facilitate workshops to empower families
Requirements:
• Certificate in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with the Child and Family Services system
• Experience with First Nation families is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license mandatory
