Position: Advocate for Expectant Mothers
Join the mission of empowering First Nations families as a Kiipewii’chego Advocate. This role involves coordinating vital support during pregnancy and child welfare navigation in Manitoba.

As part of the Children & Families team, you'll work directly with expectant mothers and families, ensuring they receive the support needed to foster their wellbeing. This position emphasizes the importance of cultural identity, advocating for services that honor traditional practices while addressing contemporary challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments for new clients

• Collaborate with Perinatal Support Workers for family empowerment

• Organize workshops to enhance parenting skills

• Establish effective relationships for reunification support

• Maintain accurate client records and adhere to confidentiality

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work or Arts; relevant experience accepted

• At least 3 years in Manitoba's child welfare

• Familiarity with First Nations issues in welfare systems

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and current criminal checks
