Join Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre as a Heart Helper supporting young parents. This part-time position emphasizes nurturing care and skilled development in a safe environment.

The role, situated in Winnipeg and operating on weekends from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., is crucial for assisting pregnant adolescents in a residential care setting. You will maintain accurate records, support personal relationships, and ensure participants develop essential skills while focusing on health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance well-being and independence of youth

• Plan menus and prepare meals as needed

• Keep comprehensive care records

• Encourage connections with family and advocates

• Foster individual growth and health safety practices

Requirements:

• Prior experience in residential care is a plus

• Strong facilitation and organizational skills

• Familiarity with teen motherhood concerns

• Effective communication and assessment skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license
