In this role, you will supervise a team of support workers in a harm reduction-focused emergency shelter. Your leadership will include training, monitoring performance, and direct intervention during incidents. You will also play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and respectful environment that upholds community member rights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, motivate, and recognize shelter team performance
• Train new staff and provide ongoing professional development
• Manage shelter operations and assist community members with needs
• Ensure compliance with documentation and shelter protocols
• Facilitate effective communication among team members
Requirements:
• Experience in human services, preferably with at-risk populations
• Proven track record as a team leader or supervisor
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of harm reduction principles and anti-oppressive practices
• Ability to work effectively in crisis situations
