This role at the Indigenous Student Centre emphasizes supporting Indigenous students through skilled case management and systems navigation. You will assist students with mental health needs while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that aligns with Indigenous values. Collaborate with staff and external agencies to ensure holistic support tailored to each student's unique situation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage intake and follow-up for Indigenous students
• Offer consultative support to students, staff, and faculty
• Ensure accurate documentation of student interactions
• Collaborate with ISC team to support student plans
• Follow cases through their resolution for optimal outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, or related field
• Three years minimum experience in student support
• Proven record with diverse student groups
• Experience in community resource referrals
• Competence in crisis intervention training
