Join the Families First Program to support families with young children through home visits. Engage with families using trauma-informed, strength-based approaches to encourage healthy development.
As a Families First Home Visitor, you will play a critical role in promoting positive parent-child relationships and enhancing childhood growth. This position works in partnership with Public Health professionals and requires the ability to adapt to family needs and cultural values. Engage with families for up to three years, assisting them in achieving developmental and parenting goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate regular home visits to support families
• Implement strategies for positive parenting interactions
• Connect families to community resources for further support
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Utilize curriculum-based resources to enhance learning
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of relevant experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent needed
• Certifications in early childhood or social services preferred
• Excellent decision-making and communication skills
• Must possess a Class 5 driver’s license and insurance
