The Van Outreach Support Worker will operate outreach vans, ensuring essential services like food and clothing reach those in need. You will support individuals facing homelessness and address critical needs through professional outreach, while embodying MSP’s commitment to community health and dignity. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a focus on safety as you interact with marginalized populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide food, shelter, and harm reduction supplies
• Assist clients in problem-solving and planning
• Drive and operate MSP's outreach vans
• Respond to emergency situations quickly
• Conduct wellness checks and monitor client safety
Requirements:
• Experience in human services, preferably with vulnerable adults
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Ability to work in high-stress environments
• Understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues
Support the mission of Main Street Project and contribute to meaningful change in Winnipeg's communities.
