Position: Main Street Project Peer Outreach Role
Transform community support as a Peer Outreach Worker with Main Street Project, dedicated to helping Winnipeg residents experiencing homelessness. This part-time role is rooted in personal experiences of mental health or substance use.

Evening shifts will focus on providing care, connecting clients to essential resources and understanding their needs. Your unique perspective will facilitate rapport-building, fostering a safe environment for individuals to access services and improve their circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate assistance with food and shelter

• Evaluate client needs and ensure safety

• Share relevant information with the outreach team

• Conduct assessments for case management services

• Safeguard clients while operating the outreach van

Requirements:

• Expertise in engaging marginalized populations

• Valid Criminal Record and Abuse Registry checks

• Class 5 Driver's License and basic computer skills

• Familiarity with statistics and reporting preferred

• Commitment to an inclusive and respectful community
