As a vital team member in Indigenous Education, you will report to the Manager and School Principal. Your duties include coordinating programs and services to aid Indigenous students, advocating for their needs, and fostering relationships within their communities. This role emphasizes improving graduation rates and involves various responsibilities that require interaction with students, families, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report on program success and student engagement
• Mentor students and connect them with academic supports
• Identify and support students at risk
• Organize cultural activities and community events
• Promote skills development and employment services
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Social Work or Indigenous Studies
• Minimum of one year related experience
• Knowledge of local First Nation culture
• Fluency in Ojibwa is an asset
• Valid driver's license and vehicle access
