As a Support Mentor, you will facilitate daily activities aligned with traditional teachings, assisting attendees aged 16 and older.
Your role includes guiding participants to appointments, budgeting, and daily living support. You'll be instrumental in restoring community balance, while also providing essential transportation services for program access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily activities based on the medicine wheel
• Assist participants with appointments and budgeting
• Engage in group activities reflective of cultural practices
• Provide transportation to participants as necessary
• Prepare materials and supplies for program needs
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Experience in Indigenous support and cultural activities
• Valid driver’s license with insurance coverage
• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons Checks
• Knowledge of mental health and disabilities
