Support Professional for Children with Disabilities

Become a Direct Support Professional with St.Amant, committed to supporting children and youth with intellectual disabilities in Manitoba. Engage in meaningful, community-based support.

This proactive role fosters environments where children can thrive and develop. Offered as a casual position, you’ll work flexible hours primarily during the evenings and weekends. You'll focus on respecting the individual needs and dignity of each client in their homes while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and youth by implementing individualized care plans

• Collaborate with foster providers and multidisciplinary teams

• Ensure services promote dignity and normalization

• Participate in ongoing training for effective care delivery

• Address challenging behaviors while providing emotional support

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade XII or G.E.D.

• CPR and First Aid certification required

• At least one year’s relevant experience

• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate

• Valid Manitoba Driver's License and good driving record
