Position: Full-Time Employment Counsellor
Join the Manitoba Métis Federation as a full-time Employment and Training Counsellor in Winnipeg, MB. This role focuses on assisting clients with job search and training needs while making a meaningful impact in the community.

The Employment and Training Counsellor position is within the Métis Employment & Training Department at the MET Recruitment Office. You will conduct assessments of clients to determine their employment needs, eligibility for programs, and readiness for career development. Providing ongoing counseling support and developing individualized employment plans is essential to help clients succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments for employment needs and eligibility

• Provide job search assistance and community resource information

• Develop personalized employment and training plans

• Offer ongoing support during training and employment activities

• Research labour market information and job postings

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or equivalent

• Two years of career counselling experience

• Experience in presenting workshops to client groups

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems

• Knowledge of Red River Métis culture is an asset
