Support Indigenous youth through case management and direct care as a Casual Respite Helper across Yellow Shawl homes. Work days, evenings, or weekends as needed.
Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre seeks casual Respite Helpers for the Yellow Shawl Housing Program. The program supports youth ages 16 to 21 through structured independent living, safety, and supervision. You will build trusting relationships using strength-based, solution-focused, and non-judgmental approaches.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide case management for youth residents
- Deliver direct support and additional care
- Provide supervision during day-to-day activities
- Support structured independent living programming
- Work flexible shifts across Yellow Shawl homes
- Experience working with Indigenous youth and families
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with youth
- Ability to take initiative and direction within teams
- Flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
