Conquest Planning  endeavours to improve the speed, individualization, accuracy and ongoing evolution of modern financial plans to fit every family's financial needs across life's twists and turns. Leveraging artificial intelligence (we call it SAM) to deliver personalized and prioritized financial planning strategies that will help financial advisors, and their clients see what possibilities exist for their financial future. We were founded in Canada in 2018 and went live in market in January of 2021. Since that time, we have become the market dominant software provider for financial advice delivery in that market. Conquest serves the entire wealth continuum – from simple to complex. We are based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba and have team members located across Canada, the United States, and United Kingdom.

Senior Software Developer
We are seeking a  Senior Software Developer  to join our dynamic team! The role will require that you have experience in the Financial Services industry and have had exposure to working within an agile environment, and ideally that you are local to Winnipeg.

Duties of the role

Performing coding assignments.

Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality.

Refining and confirming requirements.

Creating and implementing design plans.

Logging, debugging and diagnosing production errors.

Managing and prioritizing multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments.

Sharing best practices with other developers through code reviews and presentations.

As the ideal candidate, you will

Have demonstrated experience with all the above tasks.

Possess the proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies, languages, frameworks, and approaches.

Have a natural curiosity towards learning and broadening your knowledge base.

Communicate very well both verbally and in writing.

Have experience in the Financial Services industry or a related fintech company.

Be able to design complex systems and work on complicated tasks; frequently working in new territory for the application, with significant domain or technical knowledge.

Qualifications required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or similar, or proven work experience in a related position.

A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in design, development, implementation, and application integration.

Exposure to working within an Agile environment.

Experience with the following is an asset

C#, Typescript/Angular (or similar)

Unit Testing/Automated E2E testing

REST Services

Visual Studio/VS Code

Large, complex, and interconnected code bases
