• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years hands‑on experience designing and developing cloud‑scale, highly available server applications and services.
• 5+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and managing development teams, including cross‑functional teams from Software Engineers to Principal Engineers to Architects.
• Exceptional proficiency in Java or a similar programming language.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS.
• Experience developing large, highly scalable, available, and resilient cloud data systems.
• Experience managing senior‑level engineering talent and geo‑distributed teams.
• Experience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for success.

• Hands‑on experience in Lucene/Elastic Search/Open Search.
• Experience with vector databases and machine‑learning infrastructure.
• Experience monitoring and improving reliability of complex systems at scale.
• Knowledge of security and compliance challenges in cloud products and platforms.

Strong communicator who enjoys synthesizing, simplifying and articulating complex problems.
