Software Development Intern - AI and Analytics
Position Overview
Software Development Intern – AI & Analytics at Boeing Vancouver. Full‑time, up to 8 months, starting early September 2026, located in Richmond, British Columbia (hybrid). Work with the Data and Analytics team.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, debug, and test software applications. Collaborate with project stakeholders and Scrum or Kanban teams to understand requirements, contribute to discussions, present demos, and provide input on technical solutions. Learn and apply programming languages and technologies, adapt to different development environments.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices through self‑learning, training, and knowledge‑sharing activities within the team.
Manage assigned tasks and deliver work within agreed‑upon timelines, communicating any challenges or roadblocks to the supervisor and seeking guidance when needed.

- At least a second‑year student in a relevant program.
- Can work 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment and eligibility to work on government and defense‑related programs.
- Legally able to work in Canada and not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
- Eligible to handle U.S. export‑controlled data.
- Previous internship experience.
- Experience with Java or Python development.
- Experience with Git, CI/Dev Ops tools, and development environments.
- Extracurricular activities related to leadership, community involvement, volunteering, or teamwork.
- Knowledge of Agile for software engineering.
Location:
Richmond, British Columbia (hybrid with on‑site at the Richmond location).
Salary: $23.50 – $27.00 CAD per hour.
Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and not on Boeing U.S. payroll. Not an expatriate assignment. Employer will not sponsor visa status. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This position requires an active Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program assessment and a security clearance. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
