Lead the Search infrastructure at ACV, transforming the automotive industry with innovative technology. Ensure scalability, reliability, and operational excellence in distributed systems.
ACV is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on Search and Distributed Systems. With at least eight years of software engineering experience and three years in senior roles, you will play a pivotal role in architecting Elasticsearch clusters. Responsibilities include designing failure-mode mitigations, managing Kafka and Elasticsearch integration, and mentoring teams in distributed-systems design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and configure Elasticsearch clusters for optimal performance
• Implement failure-mode mitigations to enhance system reliability
• Analyze and resolve complex system degradation issues
• Manage Kafka event stream ingestion with Elasticsearch
• Draft architectural documents and coach teams on best practices
Requirements:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years in senior or staff roles in distributed systems
• Expertise in Elasticsearch and large-scale management
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka
• Strong troubleshooting skills in observability tools
Drive resilience and innovation in search technology at ACV while mentoring distributed teams.
