Become a key player at Confluent, enhancing AI capabilities in our Cloud platform. Design backend systems for real-time data processing using Go, Java, or Python.
As a senior software engineer, you'll influence critical features that integrate AI with streaming data, helping customers operate machine learning directly within their framework. You're expected to collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring high-quality implementation and operational excellence in production environments. This role demands extensive experience and the ability to lead technical discussions across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design backend services for AI and model inference
• Own feature development from design to execution
• Make key decisions for cross-team systems
• Ensure high quality through documentation and testing
• Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews
Requirements:
• 10+ years in distributed systems or cloud-native infrastructure
• Expertise in Kubernetes and distributed system patterns
• Proficient in Go, Java, or Python
• Successful in leading cross-team technical projects
• Strong communication skills for design alignment
