Search & Distributed Systems Developer at ACV

In this senior role, you will leverage your 8+ years of software engineering experience to enhance the Search architecture r expertise in Elasticsearch and distributed systems will be critical for configuring clusters, implementing mitigations for failure modes, and resolving complex degradation issues while coaching other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design strategies for shard routing and heap tuning

• Implement circuit breakers and back pressure to prevent failures

• Diagnose JVM metrics and K8s network issues

• Manage data ingestion from Kafka to Elasticsearch

• Create architectural documentation and runbooks

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience

• 3+ years in a senior role focused on distributed systems

• Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch and cluster management

• Experience with Kubernetes and API Gateway architectures

• Proficient in observability tools for performance monitoring
