This role involves developing and maintaining core control systems that allow autonomous haul trucks to operate effectively within challenging environments. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in classical control theory and software development, with proficiency in Python. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate control systems while analyzing performance and debugging issues derived from real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and tune control algorithms for autonomous vehicles
• Develop state estimation pipelines from multiple sensors
• Conduct simulation and field testing for performance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration
• Write production-quality Python code for control systems
Requirements:
• BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong foundation in control theory and state estimation
• Proficiency in Python and experience with vehicle dynamics
• Familiarity with localization and control algorithms
