Affirm is seeking a talented senior software engineer to enhance its Data and Storage Services team. This role involves working with relational and distributed SQL databases, ensuring mission-critical data is stored and analyzed efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and scale relational and distributed SQL databases
• Automate provisioning, failover, backups, and upgrades
• Execute reliability-focused schema and data migrations
• Own the networking stack connecting services to storage
• Foster a culture of quality through code review standards
Requirements:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in MySQL and TiDB preferred
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking
• Proven background in zero-downtime migrations
