Accountabilities

Lead and develop the engineering team:
Manage, mentor, and coach software developers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

Own software delivery:
Oversee delivery planning, sprint execution, release management, and prioritization to ensure reliable, timely, and high-quality software releases.

Drive technical strategy and architecture:
Make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, promote maintainable code, and guide the development of scalable, secure, cloud‑native applications.

Contribute hands‑on to development:
Write and review production code across backend and frontend systems, particularly within AWS‑based environments and integrated software platforms.

Manage production reliability:
Oversee incident response, troubleshoot operational issues, improve system observability, and implement practices that strengthen performance, availability, and resilience.

Collaborate on product strategy:
Partner with Product and other stakeholders to define roadmaps, clarify requirements, align technical priorities with business objectives, and deliver solutions that address customer needs.

Strengthen engineering practices:
Improve automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release quality to support efficient and dependable delivery.

Develop integrations and data capabilities:
Design and maintain integrations with third‑party platforms, APIs, analytics tools, and event‑driven systems that support fleet management and operational intelligence.

Champion continuous improvement:
Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled development practices, and introduce improvements that increase team productivity and software quality.

Requirements

Professional experience:
At least 5 years of hands‑on software engineering experience developing production applications and 3 or more years managing and coaching software engineers.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Cloud infrastructure:
Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.

Containerization and orchestration:
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

Backend and frontend development:

Experience with .NET or Node.js for backend development and React and Type Script for frontend applications.
