This senior role focuses on database systems spanning ingestion, query planning, distributed execution, and storage formats. You will help develop a multi-tenant SaaS foundation that separates compute from storage across cloud providers. The work supports analytics queries and freshly stored data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement database ingestion and query planning
Build distributed query execution and storage formats
Define tenant isolation, quotas, and usage tracking
Operate services with metrics, logs, traces, and alerts
Shape architecture, APIs, and deployment patterns
Requirements:
Mastery of Golang, C++, or Rust
Experience building production-grade user-facing software systems
Experience with distributed systems and query engines
Experience with catalogs and table formats
Cloud-native experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
Bring database engineering, distributed systems, and observability expertise to Grafana’s evolving data platform and production services.
