Lifeguard; Seasonal

The City of Winkler is looking for energetic and positive people to join our seasonal Aquatic Centre team!

Working together with the Aquatic Centre team, you will help provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for Aquatic Centre patrons this summer! Some of what you’ll do includes active surveillance of the pool, preventing and responding to emergencies, instructing swimming lessons, enforcing rules and regulations in a safe and courteous manner, and maintaining Aquatic Centre equipment.

• You’ll have a positive attitude and a commitment to doing what it takes to make the Aquatic Centre a safe, enjoyable environment.
• You’ll be eager to contribute to the team, working effectively and harmoniously with your teammates.
• You’ll be able to interact positively with the public at all times.
• You’ll be able to stay calm in emergency situations and while interacting with patrons.
• You’ll be willing to learn and grow in your role!

• Current National Lifeguard – Pool certification
• Current First Aid and/or Aquatic Emergency Care with CPR
• All Lifeguards should have, or be willing to obtain, Swim for Life Instructor certification.
• A criminal record check and child abuse registry check will be required.
