SEPTIC TRUCK OPERATOR
(1) – FULL TIME POSITION

Summary

Fisher River Cree Nation is presently seeking (1) Full Time position
, as a Septic Truck Operator to work under the supervision of the Director of Operations. The Septic Truck Operator will be responsible for the regular pump outs of homeowners on the schedule and of community member’s requests.

Duties
  • Regular pump outs to homeowners on the schedule and of Community members request;
  • Operate and maintain equipment related to Sewage System;
  • Maintain the equipment (daily routine checks on the Septic Truck) as required;
  • Maintain the equipment & truck as required;
  • Keep records, daily logs and reports;
  • Report to supervisor on problems that may occur within the sewage systems;
  • Must ensure Septic Truck/Hoses are cleaned daily, at the end of each day.
  • Training will be provided.
  • Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law, etc;
  • Perform other duties assigned as required.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Grade twelve education or GED equivalent is mandatory;
  • Must be willing to train both on the job and in a classroom setting in Winnipeg (maximum of two weeks time‑frame away from home at a time).
  • Must be willing to be certified, as a Wastewater Operator and a Wastewater collection system operator level one.
  • Must be in good physical shape and able to meet the physical demand
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends in event of emergency.
  • Must provide a copy of CLASS 5 LICENSE
  • Must submit a driver’s abstract
  • Must provide with Resume a Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
