As the Fleet Dispatcher
, you are expected to execute the day‑to‑day activity of your assigned tasks. This includes monitoring Central Canada fleets, accurately distributing, receiving, and updating information. You would be responsible for identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day‑to‑day activity of the driver. You must be well organized, an excellent communicator, and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Transmitting and receiving all information relevant to the driver performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements.
- Handling all driver‑related macro messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues.
- Ensuring the system reflects an accurate portrayal of events and times.
- Immediately addressing all scheduling conflicts or issues as they arise.
- Providing drivers with plans and routing as required.
- Reporting and documenting all customer service, planning, and driver‑related issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensuring day‑to‑day activity of Central Canada fleets is confirmed and complete by end of day.
- Forming positive working relations with all drivers.
- Dispatch and/or industry experience considered an asset.
- Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment.
- Well organized, an excellent communicator, and have a keen sense of timeliness.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
