Position: FLAGGERS: BASE AND HIGHWAY DIVISIONS )
Overview  Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. is currently looking for Flaggers – Base and Highway Divisions
Responsibilities   Direct and control traffic safely at construction sites
Maintain a protected work environment by managing traffic flow, warning crews of approaching hazards, and remaining alert always
Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, and warning signs
Communicate with team members via two-way radios to coordinate traffic flow
Manage traffic professionally and respond to basic public inquiries
Perform general labour duties and contribute to the team as needed
Requirements   Ability to work overtime and maintain a flexible schedule
Reliable and dependable
Comfortable standing for long periods of time
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations
Ability to listen carefully and communicate instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously
CSA-approved steel-toed boots required
Ability to understand and follow safe job procedures, safe work practices, and company policies
Willingness to travel and work out of town during the construction season, if required
High attention to detail and ability to identify and respond to hazards
