- Develop and maintain robust customer service skills and support OPENLANE Logistics transportation service.
- Provide accurate, friendly and quality service to customers via phone, text and e‑mail.
- Utilize tools and procedures to ensure workload is completed daily.
- Report on transportation department activities to local management and corporate office.
- Act as a point of contact for transportation and ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
- Assist customers with confirming their transportation needs.
- Verify vehicle locations and delivery address prior to pick up.
- Run aging reports and contact sellers and buyers regarding outstanding shipments.
- Maintain excellent customer service, strong telephone support and ability to answer or research answers to customer questions.
- Resolve customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise manager or designated supervisor of serious complaints or incidents.
- Assist customers in understanding OPENLANE systems, and escape any system issues appropriately.
- Practice and promote teamwork at all times, set a good personal example, and ensure proper follow‑through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting.
- Maintain a good flow of communication with the manager or designated supervisor and other personnel.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of related experience in a logistics or dispatching role
- Tech‑savvy, comfortable using Google Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain calm and diplomatic in dispute resolution situations
- Autonomous, self‑driven, proactive and a team player
- Post‑secondary education in a related field is an asset
- Self‑starter who can assess work volumes and ensure timely completion of prioritized tasks
- Experience with AMS, VTrace, and other OPENLANE systems
