Drive safely with Dixon Hall as a Relief Driver in the Seniors and Children & Youth Services department. Ensure excellent service and transportation for clients while following all regulations.
This permanent Relief Driver role requires a valid Class G license and involves transporting clients, loading and delivering meals on wheels, and assisting clients with mobility. You'll work closely with volunteers and meet regularly with managers to discuss program effectiveness. It's essential to have strong communication skills and a sensitivity to the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Load and deliver meals on wheels routes
- Transport clients to designated drop-off points
- Assist clients in and out of vehicles
- Report vehicle maintenance and safety concerns
- Complete daily vehicle check‑list forms
- Valid Class G driver’s license required
- Clean driver’s abstract and personal insurance
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check
