Tanker truck driver

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to supply customers by delivering ALC’s liquid and gaseous products via tanker truck in accordance with ALC’s guidelines and procedures, using the appropriate equipment, complying with transportation laws and regulations, and ensuring that ALC’s safety and quality objectives are upheld.

• Obtain the route sheet and ensure it contains all necessary information.
• Gather all documentation and equipment required for the route.
• Conduct a pre-departure equipment inspection, record any issues that need to be corrected in the inspection report, and notify the maintenance coordinator and repair technician.
• Review road conditions and customer requirements.
• Ensure the truck is loaded in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Upon arrival at the delivery point, check the condition of the equipment and the customer’s facility.
• Record any anomalies observed on-site and submit them to the supervisor at the end of the route, or contact the repair technician regarding any delivery non-conformities.
• Unload the product into the customer’s tank according to established procedures.
• Provide accurate delivery slips for all ALC products sold to customers to ensure accurate billing.
• Enter all relevant information into the barcode system.
• Ensure that all forms and records for which you are responsible are properly completed.

• Hold a Class 3 driver’s license.
• Have at least 3 years of experience.
• Make safety the top priority.
• Be conscientious and attentive on the road.

• 1 year in micro-bulk (major advantage).
