Class 1 Driver

Description

The Driver will transport products in a safe manner and by following proper provincial regulations. Delivers products to customers on time while providing excellent customer service as the face of the company.

Must have class 1 license.

• Plan and organize effectively; clear communication is a must.
• Must be customer service orientated and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Problem solver with the ability to multi-task using judgement and decision making skills.
• Must hold valid Class 1 driver's license and provide driver's abstract.

Operate a truck in a safe and professional manner at all times.

• Deliver products to customers on time, while providing complete customer service.
• Transfer materials and items from truck to dock area or other designated area by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, or manual pallet jack.
• Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, returns, etc.
• Maintain logs daily and comply with all other Provincial Transportation procedures/regulations.
• Conduct Pre-trip and Post-trip truck inspections of tractor and trailer units, in compliance with provincial regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
