In this vital role, the Transportation Manager will shape the strategic direction of the transportation department. Responsibilities include managing transportation and distribution systems while enhancing customer relations through collaboration with sales teams. You will also oversee safety measures and employee training to ensure constant improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations
• Review and recommend efficient rate changes
• Conduct orientation and training sessions for employees
• Manage transportation deadlines and performance reviews
• Plan preventive maintenance for all delivery vehicles
Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of DOT and WCB regulations
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 350 lbs with a two-wheeler
• Experience with handheld delivery systems required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
