Forklift Operator

Position: Join Our Team as a Forklift Operator
Star Building Materials, based in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator. Ensure the effective movement of materials while prioritizing safety in all operations.

In this essential role, you will report to the Operations Manager, responsible for operating forklifts for efficient material handling. Your duties include assembling orders, verifying shipment details, and conducting equipment inspections. A commitment to safety is crucial as you promote a secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts for moving goods

• Assemble and pack orders while inspecting them

• Check order accuracy when loading/unloading shipments

• Regularly inspect and maintain forklift equipment

• Report safety violations and encourage safe practices

Requirements:

• Completion of middle school education required

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence necessary

• Satisfactory verification of criminal background

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

• Preferred experience with forklifts and training
