As a Switchperson, you will maintain a focus on safety and efficiency in rail car switching, demonstrating skills in teamwork, initiative, and customer service. This position requires physical fitness, as you'll work in all weather conditions and possibly up to 12-hour shifts. You'll follow strict operational rules while checking safety devices and conducting inspections throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform safe locomotive operations and conduct job briefings

• Operate switches and manage air hoses efficiently

• Conduct daily inspections of locomotives and brakes

• Complete logs and reports accurately

• Report safety or equipment issues promptly

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or GED

• Relevant workplace or rail experience preferred

• Class 5 driver’s license as an asset

• Ability to pass drug tests and background checks

• Experience with technology and web applications
