Truck Dispatcher

Job Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage freight movements, communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the seamless flow of goods across multiple locations.

• Schedule and dispatch freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems such as DAT.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
• Monitor shipment statuses and update relevant data entry systems accurately.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal departments via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Analyze shipping data to identify delays or issues, providing solutions to improve efficiency.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain organized records of shipments, deliveries, and related correspondence for reporting purposes.

• Proven experience working with Transportation Management Systems such as DAT.
• Familiarity with supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving processes.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistics data and identify operational improvements.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately for efficient data entry tasks.
• Prior experience in freight coordination or dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment is advantageous. This role requires a proactive individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Pay: $16.84-$30.46 per hour
