Details Description Spare School and Charter Bus Driver

Southland Transportation is currently seeking dedicated and safety-minded Spare Charter and School Bus Drivers to join our team. This role will cover routes on an as-needed basis, filling in for regular drivers during vacations, sick days, and other absences. There is potential for Spare Drivers to transition into permanent roles as positions becomes available or additional work arises.

Qualifications
  • Willingness to obtain a Manitoba School Bus Certificate
  • Ability to interact with passengers and the public in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Trained in CPR/First Aid is considered an asset
  • Physically able to meet the demands of situations, including emergency bus evacuations
  • Must provide a current driver’s abstract
  • As a condition of employment, all new hires must supply a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector search, and child abuse registry check as part of the hiring process
